Mission Tuvalu documentary

De documentaire Missie Tuvalu vertelt het verhaal van voetbalfanaat Paul Driessen die Tuvalu lid wil maken van de FIFA. Het eilandje is een van de kleinste en meest geïsoleerde landen ter wereld.

Missie Tuvalu vertelt het onwaarschijnlijke en charmante verhaal van Driessens toevallige kennismaking met het bestuur van de voetbalbond en zijn daaropvolgende obsessie om de redder van het Tuvaluaanse voetbal te worden.

De opnames vonden plaats in Nederland, Nieuw-Zeeland, Fiji en Tuvalu. Mission Tuvalu was te zien op NPO Doc, FOX Sports en L1. De film werd genomineerd voor een OLON Award en vertoond op het International Film Festival in Suva (Fiji) en het Kicking and Screening Soccer Film Festival in Abu Dhabi.
